Hafod y Rhisgl is a two-storey house of seventeenth-century date, built on the site of a grange of the Abbey of Aberconwy.
RCAHMW 2008

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1889, 1900 and 1914 respectively, show that a stream diverted from the Afon Feingam supplied a small pond immediately east of the lane, and a leat ran from the pond to the north end of the buildings. This suggests that water power may have been used to drive portable farm machines or a butter churn.
