The main, western, entrance to the grounds of the Lady Forester Convalescent Home (NPRN 406054), completed by about 1904.
The elaborate wrought iron gates are hung between gatepiers which have alternate bands of sandstone and rusticated limestone, topped by urn finials. From these, iron railings run to plainer piers.
