OAN field survey, located by GPS to an accuracy of +/- 1m. A putative powder store north of Mountain Lodge. The bunker is roughly 15m long east-west by 8m wide and up to 3m high. It consist of a central earth covered corrugated iron covered structure. There are substantial brick constructed entranceways on the west and north sides and these have brick blast walls protecting them. On the top of the west entranceway are iron ladders to the roof where there is an observation balcony. The east end of the bunker is an exposed concrete arched room with an internal door into the main room and slits facing east. The structure bunker is somewhat dilapidated on the south side where the covering earth has been eroded away and the site is currently used for grouse shooting.2003/02/11/OAN/NW
