This record comprises a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location CAERNARFON BAR pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The PEGGY was a 27ton wooden sloop vessel on passage from Caernarfon to Milford. The report printed in Lloyds List on 5 October 1841 noted the master's name as Davies and that the vessel had left Caernarfon for Milford Haven on 29 September but was force to put back into Caernarfon. At which time, on 1 October 1841, the vessel stuck on the Bar and went to pieces. The crew were saved
