This record comprises a documentary reference to a shipping loss which has been assigned to the maritime named location HOLYHEAD BAY pending more information becoming available which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The ANTIGALLICAN was a wooden sailing vessel on passage from Liverpool to Charles Town under the command of master Butler. The report printed in Lloyds List on 12 November1781 noted that the vessel was onshore near Holyhead.
