Plas Iago is a single-storey house, now of stone and used as an outbuilding. The gables have a steep pitch, edged in brick, and the roof is still thatched. There is a fireplace of stone and brick, with a massive wooden lintel. The single truss was formerly a closed partition with two doors. It appears that the house was probably a small cruck-framed hall with two service rooms at one end
