A stone-walled sheepfold that may preserve something of the form of a lluest or shepherd's hut. It is built on the site of an abandoned farmstead (see NPRN 284162).

A well preserved drystone complex which includes a possible deserted settlement in the form of an 11 x 5m structure, with two compartments, appended to the E. side of which is a rectangular fold measuring c.11m x 8m - the whole complex appears to be of one build. Access gained into either of the smaller compartments from the main yard, but there is no connecting access way between them - this may indicate that they are actually fold compartments rather than an abandoned dwelling. However, within 30m to the NE there is another, more irregular earth and stone banked fold, 12m x 12m, and a 4 x 2.5m cut which may represent a potato clamp. This latter feature may be indicative of some settlement nearby (RPS 1998). Sheepfold appears to have been used in very recent times as corrugated iron sheeting acts as barrie5s for herding. Immediate area of sheepfold enclosure contains remains of deserted rural settlement of medieval date, possibly earlier. DRS consists of oval enclosures, platforms and oval bank and ditch that encompasses whole of site R.S. Jones, Cambrian Archaeological Projects, 2004.
