Disgrifiad
A stone-faced earth and stone constructed dam. It measures approximately 60-70m long by 5m wide at the top and tapers to 12m wide at the base. The dam used to hold Llyn Bwlch-y-moch reservoir on the eastern side, which originally ran in a narrow curving band as far as the still extant Llyn y Dywarchen reservoir to the south-east. The dam has been breached leaving la band of saturated marshland. An overflow leat runs past on the northern side of the dam and a stone built channel runs through the central breach. It is shown as 'dam' on the 1st Edition OS mapping and is also shown on the current OS mapping. P.J. Schofield, Oxford Archaeology North, 17th January 2006
