Aerial reconnaissance during July 2000 identified a 160m stretch of Roman agger parching out in pasture to the east of the A 487. It was seen to leave the southern boundary of Erglodd farm at SN 6531 9050 heading south-east, before kinking south to join the modern road at SN 6536 9036. This confirms that the Roman road closely follows the line of the modern road at this point.
