Cofnod Safle

Built on a level site are a pair of adjacent round huts below a low crag and between rocky outcrops. Both the huts are substantial with walls of piled stones spread to a width of about 1.1m. The two huts are separated by a gap of 1.5m. The SW hut is smaller and about 5.75m in diameter with an entrance at its NNE about 0.8m wide. The NE hut is about 6m in diameter with a possible entrance at its SE. the walls of both the huts are up to 0.8m high. On the hillside to the immediate SE of the site are a number of vague scoops in the ground that might well represent the site of a further group of prehistoric dwellings.
