Cefn Blewog is an incomplete oval, concentric defended enclosure measuring overall c.133m north-south by 130m east-west, largely incomplete on the north side. Davies and Hogg in the Cardiganshire County History (1994, 263) preferred to see it as an unfinished enclosure of `South-Western Type' with wide-spaced defences. A field visit towards the end of the 1990s showed that the ground surface in the forestry clearing was extremely uneven with tussocky grass and undergrowth. Therefore an exact identification of its true extents and any more ephemeral features remains difficult.
