Earthworks thought to represent a medieval castle mount: a steep-sided flat-topped mound, about 30m in diameter & rising about 5.5m to a rather oval summit area, some 17-20m across; to the north the mound is set above steep natural slopes down to the Gwendraeth Fach valley floor, elsewhere it is ditched & counterscarped, the work being some 50m across overall.

Recent analysis of aerial photography and Lidar by Bryn Gethin in 2010 has revealed the well-defined mound as described above.
