DisgrifiadThe former broad gauge Carmarthen & Cardigan Railway was opened from Carmarthen station (nprn 305110) in stages to Llandysul (nprn 41358) by 1864 and extended to Newcastle Emlyn (nprn 305095) by the GWR in 1895. The line closed in 1973, apart from a short spur in Carmarthen, closed 1983, and two sections re-opened as tourist railways: at Henllan (the narrow-gauge Teifi Valley Railway, opened 1983) and at Bronwydd Arms (Gwili Railway, opened 1978).
