DisgrifiadA stone of hard, weathered, red sandstone, 2.0m high by 1.2m by 0.5m, 'recently removed' in 1979. excavation at the site showed that the stone had been erected in a trapezoid arrangement of pits, some containing cremations. A scattering of pit and stake holes was partly resolable into coherent patterns. A radio-carbon date of c.1355BC was obtained from the fill of an associated recut pit (Williams Benson 1979; Williams 1980).
