A roughly oval hilltop enclosure, c.300m by 190m, defined by scarps where it rests on steep natural slopes to the S, elsewhere multivallate. There is a mutilated, inturned entrance to the NE. In the NE sector of the enclosure are features thought to relate to a medieval farmstead.

Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance in Oct 2011 identified a potential Iron Age enclosure c. 270m south-east of the hillfort at Clegyr mawr.
