This is the most southerly of a group of up to thirteen small cairns (NPRN 307280) set on sloping ground to the east of Y Bwlwarcau enclosure complex (NPRN 301303).
The cairn is an oval, relatively steep-sided stony mound, 6.5m by 5.0m across and 0.6m high. It has been regarded as being the surviving core of a larger cairn.
The cairn group can be variously identified as a cairn cemetery or a agricultural clearance cairn field, and it could have fulfilled both roles.
