DisgrifiadAn early medieval cemetery consisting of stone-lined graves, or "cist burials". The palce-name Parc-y-Fynwent (`cemetery field?) is depicted on historic (first edition) Ordnance Survey mapping. A `stone coffin? thought to represent a medieval cist grave, and a `sword? were reportedly discovered in the vicinity around 1800. At least two long cist graves were recorded during a watching brief at a housing development in November 2000, and more had been revealed prior to the arrival of an archaeologist. Radiocarbon dating gave a period of use for the cemetery from AD37-600.
