DisgrifiadThe north gate of Ewenny Priory precinct walls (see Nprn300298), is originally 12th century. It was remodelled c.1300, but retains some earlier features. Built of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, the gatehouse is rectangular with semi-octagonal towers and has a pointed arch entrance. The ground floor side rear doorway provides access to winding stone stairs. There is a Garderobe recess to the northwest of the first floor and access to the wall walk. Stairs continue upwards towards a now missing second floor.
