South gate of Ewenny Priory precinct walls (Nprn300298).

Originally C12 but substantially altered in c1300. Adjoining precinct wall demolished early C19, but major alteration in 1860, when it was converted into a cottage. Of coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings. Polygonal tower to E and gateway to W. 2 storeys. First floor doorways giving access to wall walk; room over the gateway, with pointed arched doorway and C19 fittings.
