1. In an area centred on SH74007200 is a field system covering approximately one square kilometre. Boundary banks and walls are generally in good condition and are associated with round huts, long huts and farmsteads. Source, notes by Brian Malaws 1990. 2003.10.12/RCAHMW/SLE
2. Area of relict field boundary features, c.1,200m NE-SW by 500m, set on E-facing slopes; the pricipal features run along the contours, joined by others set perpendicular to them.

Occurring within this area are a number of settlement & possible settlement features:
Circular structures & enclosure complexes (Nprn303066-8, 303082, 303087-9)
Rectangular structures - building platforms as well as comparatively recent buildings and enclosure complexes (Nprn15147, 15149, 15165, 15167, 15169, 15166/302559, 309192, 309195)
Enclosures (Nprn303067, 303079-81, 400504).
The area is bisected by a roadway, thought to be Roman in origin (see Nprn400487) which cuts across the grain of enclosure within the field-system.
