A pond, about 50m north-east to south-west by 7.5m, depicted on OS County series (Flint. XXII.7 1873) & labelled 'Moat' on subsequent editions (1899; 1912): can be identified with the 'stewpond inn the shrubbery' (Canon Lee 1888, 30): fed by leat (Nprn309713); adapted as an ornamental feature, with statuary, but empty by 1973 (NAR SJ44SW3) & not subsequently mapped.
