This graveyard chest tomb, known as 'Garreg Offrwm' is situated outside the east wall of St Tydecho's Church, Llanmawddwy (NPRN 43906). The tomb was erected in 1790, and was used for the ancient custom of the payment of funeral offerings. It is noted to be set in the angle between the south porch and the church wall. The tomb is costructed of stone blocks laid on bed, with a cavetto moulded ledger carrying the inscription on its upper face 'HERE LYETH T(HE)/ BODY OF DOR / OTHEY LLOYD BVRIED H?d 20 FEBRV / ARY AT AETATIS 17"? DVED / .... '
