DisgrifiadNAR SN13SE10
One of three cairns (see also NPRN 304056, 310450) found at the summit of Moel Trigarn at the centre of a titanic hillfort (NPRN 94948). The central cairn is roughly 18m in diameter & is in the region of 1.7-2.9m high, with an Ordnance Survey cairn and pillar on its summit. Although conventionally attributed to the Bronze Age, it is possible that these cairns are contemporary with the fort, perhaps acting as a focus for ritual or ceremonial activity.
The cairns are greatly disturbed, but have defied antiquarian excavation.
