1. Enclosed in 1838, St. Caradocs hermitage is said to have stood to the West of the well.
2. Mentioned in 1315, a hermitage is thought to have been located a little to the W. No original stonework is now visible, the well having been concreted over (in 1838?), and the present structure is 4.0m square, water-filled (1965) and accessed by a manhole.
