DisgrifiadYsbyty Ifan is a well-preserved estate village on the river Conwy. It derives its name from a preceptory (or hospital) belonging to the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, founded by Ivan ab Rhys, about the year 1189. The present church of St John is built on the site of the hospital.
