1. XVII century workings, mainly 25-50ft below the surface; 19th century tips and signs of an older flattened tip.
2. Reported as active 1856-62, when "ancient workings" are mentioned. A deep adit, begun in 1863 at Cnwch Mawr in the Brefi valley to the N (Dat Prn26623), is not thought to have been driven through to completion.
Surface features include two ruinous wheelpits with remains of dams and a leat leading in from the NE, traces of dressing floors, ruined buildings, shaft mouths, extensive tips and several collapse craters.
