DisgrifiadThere are three dolphins outside the North Dock, Llanelli, two on the west side (at NGRs SS 49859 99362 and SS 49864 99331) and one on the east, dating from about 1900. Each structure consists of a number of timber piles driven into the riverbed, cross braced, with a platform and mooring post on top and formerly a pedestrian access bridge linking to the shore. Of the three, only skeletal remains of the eastern dolphin survive.
