DisgrifiadLock 12 or Ynysmeudwy Lower Lock (12,980m from Swansea Basin). The lock chamber is in fairly good condition, with a weir replacing its upper gate. One of the lower gates still survived in a field alongside in the 1970s. The fabric of the lock chamber shows evidence of at least two re-buildings. A cast-iron paddle-gearing support, typical of ,and unique to, the Swansea Canal, survives on the valley side of the lock
