Pont Nant Lawrog B 22. During construction of the canal, an arched overbridge was built to carry the Swansea to Pontardawe road which was one of several sections of road realigned during the construction of the canal (1). The oblique crossing necessitated a wide bridge of Pennant sandstone (over the foot of the extended platform of Lock 6) under which the canal continues the narrow width of the lock chamber and lacks a towing-path.
