A reed filled reservoir with a brick built ruin in one corner adjacent to the aqueduct (NPRN 34394). The building is much overgrown with brambles, but there are the remains of engine beds within. ? early 20thC. Possibly used to control flood water inside the aqueduct, which was itself acted as part of the sea defences for this part of the marsh. (TAJ March 1999)
