DisgrifiadA small, yet iconic Neolithic burial chamber, variously referred to as Maen-y-Bardd (the bard's stone), Cwt-y-Bugail (shepherd's hut) or Cwt-y-filiast (greyhound's kennel). The chamber comprises of a large capstone resting on four orthostatic supports, surrounded by possible traces of a cairn. The tomb sits amidst a rich landscape of prehistoric settlements and fields, the majority probably belonging to the later Iron Age and Romano-British periods. It also lies adjacent to a sunken trackway which bisects the earlier fields, thought to be the line of a Roman road.
