This late seventeenth or early eighteenth century lych gate is situated within the east boundary of the churchyard at St Mary's Church, Tal-y-llyn (NPRN 96024).

The lych gate is a Grade II listed building, as is the lych gate in the south churchyard boundary (NPRN 417301). It is constructed of neatly squared stone and has a gabled slate roof and iron gates. The entrance consists of a segmental arch of shaped voussoirs with a chamfered hood moulding. The gable above it houses a lintel shaped stone with two slight arches on its soffit and a raised central keystone featuring the face of an angel whose head is set in a curved recessed halo. The interior has stone seats on either side.
