Disgrifiad
A stretch of earthwork bank and internal ditch running across a relatively flat spur of land between the Nant Criafolen and its tributary, creates a triangular enclosure with an area of some 900 sq. metres. Access into the enclosure was via an entrance at its south-east corner.

The interior of the enclosure contained a hut, occupying a stream-side terrace and measuring 6m x 3.5m. Excavation of the hut revealed that the lowest wall courses were exclusively gritstone boulders. A narrow entrance was located in the south wall and inside the hut the hearth, a single gritstone slab was set against west wall. Both outside and inside the hut a system of drainage gullies channelled water away towards the stream. On the terrace to the east of the hut was a `working area? containing an outdoor hearth. Behind the hut, to the north was a small `out building? 1.6m x 1m with a narrow entrance in its east side and built of the more usual shale slabs. Overlying this structure was a midden measuring 6m x 4m and 0.4m high. The midden contained refuse in the form of pot-sherds and objects of metal and stone and provided good dating evidence which indicates occupation here in the 15th or 16th century.
