1. Earthwork features identified as a seventeenth century Civil War siege battery, placed against Raglan Castle (NPRN 93387), possibly that mentioned in a letter of July 1646. On the ground, poorly defined earthworks, in the region of 35-40m across, set about the summit of a knoll, roughly 130m north-east of the civil war circuit set about Raglan castle; Aerial photos (reproduced as Kenyon 1983, plate XVIII) show this to have been an angular work, having a salient facing the castle; linear earthwork features can be seen to run for about 125m to the north-west and for 90m to the east, presumably forming part of the lines of encirclement.

2. Recorded during Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance.

3. Cropmarks discovered 200m east of Castle Farm during the 2025 July drought (NPRN 801545) may be related to these seigeworks.
