Pair of earlier 19th century town houses, now one. Known as Nos 1 & 2 Glendower, The Croft, in 1926 when Miss Waters occupied No 1 and Dr H H Mathias MB No 2. The buildings were occupied by the County Library in 1960s, by government offices and the National Park Information Centre in 1977 and 2001, with flats above. Alterations to 'No 1 and Bay View' were advertised in 1908 by J Preece Jones. The single-storey rear addition and link building to Croft House was added probably in the 1930s, to be used as summer rooms by the Bay Hotel. Old photographs show paired doorcases at the rear as on front.

Pair of houses, now used as flats, with plain stucco elevations to The Norton (street) of a basement and 4 storeys, 4 bays wide and with a parapet and end-wall stacks. It has square upper windows, with longer sashes to the other floors, all of which are 4-pane horned sashes bar 4 that have been altered to form a pair of narrow sashes. The two centre doorways are set close together, and are not aligned with the windows above. Each door is arched in an open pedimented timber doorcase, accessed by a single wide flight of steps flanked by iron railings. The doorcases have fluted piers with square rosettes above, under consoles carrying open pediments, and panelled reveals with a moulded impost band under radiating fanlights. The doors are 20th century. There are basement steps to the right, with doors under the front steps. The 19th century railings which enclosed a front garden mentioned in the 1977 listing have gone.

Stuccoed side walls. The rear facing The Croft (street) has a parapet and 2 dormers, with a similar plain 4-storey, 4-bay elevation with horned 4-pane sashes. The ground floor has a sash to the left bay only, the rest being obscured by mid 20th century 3-bay addition, forming part of the range between Glendower Houses and Croft House. This part forms the Tourist Information Centre, the link range the Ocean Cafe (see under Croft House). Painted stucco elevations with a parapet and bays divided by pilaster strips. Small-paned windows in pairs and double doors.
