The western section of the Cefn Rhigos Tramroad, from its junction with the Neath Canal terminal basin at Glynneath (given NGR), across Pont Walby and on to Cefn Rhigos. From here it continues to Hirwaun and other tramroad formations.
This tramroad is part of the Glynneath-Aberdare canal tramroad complex in which tramroads of varying forms and dates link the terminal basin of the Neath Canal with Abernant, following a course via Hirwaun, Llwydcoed and Aberdare (NPRN 404094).
