A stone-built, slate roofed building used as a store for saltpetre (potassium nitrate), one of the main ingredients of gunpowder. It is not shown on the OS 1/2500 of 1877 but had been erected by 1904. A loop siding off the internal tramway ran through the building. It has recently been converted for use as a community hall.
