Disgrifiad
A 114 straight pound between locks 12 and 13 at Ynysmeudwy. The stone revetting of the towing-path bank is in good order. There is a colliery spoil-tip to the left and a quay from the Cwm Nantdu Collieries railway incline-plane from the valleyside top to the left - at the end of the 19th. this line bridged the canal just north of Lock 12 to a Papent Fuel works and the Swansea Vale Railway. This south-west to north-east pound is in water and the towing-path walkable. This section of the Swansea Canal was built in 1796-98 by the engineer Thomas Sheasby senior and ceased use as a navigation by the 1930s.
