Limekiln built against the east side of the towing path of the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425) at Ynys-y-gored Farm; the kiln top is level with the canal. In excellent condition, it stands to nearly 5m high and there are drawing hole vaults on the north and south. The kiln is depicted but not annotated on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey 25in map of 1876 yet annotated as 'Old Limekiln' on the second and third editions of 1900 and 1919.
