Cofnod Safle

Located just to the north of a building platform, lies a small cairn. Composed of small and medium sized stones consolidated around its edge, the cairn measures 6m (NW-SE) by 4m and 0.3m high.

The above platforms all lie on a ridge close to the point where the ground falls away steeply into the valley on the SE. Immediately behind them (at least in the cases of HL2-4) aerial photographs (1) indicate the presence of narrow cultivation ridges, not noted on the ground here, which superficially appear to be closely associated with the platforms. The occurrence of cultivation ridges in the vicinity of platforms is replicated at a number of locations hereabouts.
