Trawsnant is an early seventeenth-century farmhouse which retains its slated roof. The interior retains an original stone corkscrew stair. Built partly on boulder foundations and originally thought to be a storeyed house but reduced partially to a single story in the C19th possibly by the then land owner the Penrhyn Estate. It retains a stop chamferred ceiling beam and joists in the main room. There is a surviving cast iron range within an inglenook with the stair to the upper floor rising from the left of this fireplace. There is a smaller fireplace on the first floor. Currently used as a temporary shepherds' mess room.
