DisgrifiadWest Lodge, Plas Machynlleth, is a mid 19th century Jacobethan single storey lodge. Built in 1840 of coursed rubble with plinth and other dressings; the lodge has a slate roof with distinctive, stepped and curved Dutch gables and octagonal stone chimney stacks. The two advanced and main gables, meet at an extruded corner; these and the gables to east and south have broad kneelers (similar in style to other Londonderry buildings in the town centre) and diamond panels with blank shields. The rear gable has a leaning chimney stack to the apex.
