Melin Trebersed is a former corn mill, with a house adjacent, set on a minor un-named stream some 3km west of Carmarthen. Water was supplied to the mill in a leat, some 500m in total length, from the stream via holding pond 120m to the north-west of the mill; a short tailrace about 10m long returned water to the stream. The mill is noted as operational on the first and second editions of the Ordnance Survey 25in maps, dated 1889 and 1906 respectively, but it is not known when the mill ceased to function.
The World War II Rhos Llangeler Stop Line (nprn 307592) is nearby and an adjacent section of anti tank ditch (nprn 270585) is described as 'can be traced as a hollow for most of its length'; it is possible, but unverified, that the former mill leat was used as part of the anti tank ditch.
