A substantial field barn in a glade within the wooded area of Bryn y Bont. It is bounded on the W by a broken line of low crags. The barn is a fairly simple structure, rectangular in plan with a pitched roof. Once divided horizontally into a lower and an upper compartment. A door at the NE end gave access to the lower room whilst a pitching eye at the opposite (SW) end gave access to the upper floor - probably used as a hay loft. However much of the original timberwork has been replaced, presumably during re-roofing with a mixture of new softwood and reused oak beams. The floor had evidently been removed during this reconstruction. The roof is now covered by large thin slates, but a few small thicker and rougher slates from an earlier roof lie around the immediate area of the barn. Outside the barn a length of wall with a gap, starting from the N corner and continuing for about 19m to a point below the crag to the W forms a partial enclosure. Dimensions of barn about 10m x 6m overall. 20m above O.D.
