DisgrifiadPenrhyn Railway Museum is located within the old stables of Penrhyn Castle (NPRN 16687). The museum houses various items of rolling stock and locomotives, including the 'Fire Queen', which is a remarkable Horlock 0-4-0 of 1848 from the nearby Dinorwic Quarry Railway (NPRN 40559). The collection also includes Hunslet saddle tanks 'Charles and High Napier' from the Penrhyn Quarry (NPRN 40564) system, and 'Llanfair', a vertical boiler locomotive built by DeWinton's of Caernarfon, which formerly shunted the quays at Penmaenmawr stone quarries.
