DisgrifiadThe farmhouse of Maes-ar-ddafen-fach or Maesarddafen Fach, is shown on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch maps of 1880, 1907 and 1916. By the time of the construction of Trostre Steelworks (nprn 300213) in 1947, the house had become derelict. It was, however, rescued and transformed into an eighteenth century Welsh cottage, inside and out, complete with thatched roof and pink painted walls, following local tradition, and is now a part of the steelworks site.
