nSite of the 2008 National Eisteddfod, the first time in 30 years that the Eisteddfod had been held in Cardiff. The National Eisteddfod is a celebration of Welsh Culture, with music, dance, poetry and recitation competitions, as well as theatre, arts and craft exhibitions, a literature pavillion, trade stands and other exhibitions. The Eisteddfod was held from 2-9th August, and had over 150,000 visitors during the week.
