Remains of a building situated on higher ground to the S of the Maenofferen Slate Mine (NPRN 400427). The building is a rectangular three bay structure orientated N-S with a small square building attached to the NE corner. The building is recorded on a plan dated 1865 and


appears unchanged in form through the 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions of the O.S. maps.
