A massive adit-like cutting by the road (A5) about 50m long x 8m wide x 30m deep (max). Possibly a roadstone quarry. No obvious mineral exploitation noted. A flat area nearby appears to have been used for some kind of processing - perhaps stone breaking. Unlikely to be earlier than about 1800. 250m above O.D.
