Two small quarry pits marked on both the 25 inch 2nd edition O.S. map (1907) and the 1:10 000 scale O.S. as "Quarries". The western one appears smaller and more rounded the eastern more square cut and the larger of the two. Both are virtually invisible and inaccessible due to rampant vegetation - scrub and bramble. Probably they were worked for stone to be used locally. 30m above O.D.
